If you weren’t around when this game was new you’ll never realize what a phenomenon it was . You couldn’t go anywhere without seeing or hearing about Pac-Man or it’s numerous sequels. I believe they even made a movie.
Personally I thought the game was terrible, a mindless 2D game with terrible graphics and really annoying music. You spent your time traveling around a set of mazes trying to gobble up dots while trying to avoid ghosts. The challenge was barely a step above “Pong”. About the only really positive thing I can say is that it's popularity and financial rewards helped fuel major investment in the gaming industry and gave us the games we have today.
If you really have some time to waste and want to become a mindless zombie for awhile check it out; otherwise give it a pass.
