I love board games, but most of the games in my collection rarely get played. The few that get played most often are my "lightweight" games that are easy to pick up, especially one called Splendor. So many people who have never even played many board games before fall in love with Splendor and go off to buy their own copy after leaving my house.
Obviously video games are different from board games because most video games can be played solo, but for times when you want to do some family bonding (say on vacation with your lil bro), games like Overcooked offer that perfect balance of being challenging (requiring communication and coordination) yet hilarious (so you don't take your failures too seriously).
The variety of creative levels and obstacles really had us entertained for hours. Highly recommend to have in your collection if you need a "party game" that is actually exciting and rewarding.
