OutRun2 is a blast to play. From the massive amounts of challenges (over 100), to the arcade racing and online play, Sega's sequel to OutRun doesn't dissapoint. Graphics: While they're not anything you're gonna write home about, they do the job nicely. Realtime reflections and a speedy framerate are the highlights, while there's not really any negatives. Not outstanding, but they do suit the arcade feel of the game. Controls: The best powersliding ever. I kid you not, the powersliding is a absolute blast to watch and pull off. It's not overly complicated or hard, just a blast to do and you'll need to do it quite a bit once the difficulty of the game ramps up. Controls are flawlessly executed and I had no problems adapting to them. Gameplay: The online mode is killer, as is the challenge mode. There could be a bit more depth, but it's still a blast and will keep you occupied for many many hours. No bugs or glitches are present which is quite nice. Sound: The low point of the title. It's kinda silly that there is no custom soundtrack option, and you'll wish you had it. The music tracks are mostly silly and childish, despite a few good tracks. Car sounds are what you'd expect. Bottom Line: A great game if you love arcade racers, and a must buy for the online play.
