Outpost is a 10 year old pc game by now. There are lots of things to say about this game. Read it.

This game is really interesting. At first you must choose your destination. Wheter to go: Tau Ceti, Alpha Centauri, or Wolf, for example, and lots more. That's fun but once you've played a lot you recognize all those systems and get to memorize wich planets are not good to colonize. It isn't just about difficulty, since difficult planets makes the game boring and stressing - you can't progress! Gameplay is not that enhanced, since you must look out manually if your colony is doing well: you must command recently built factories to build a certain product, command recently built laboratories to research a certain technology or breaktrough, and so on. You must also always check if all labs are working, because sometimes they don't alert you that they're done with their job. You must press the "next turn" button to continue playing. And when your colony is huge, you waste lots of time building. At that time you don't need to build surface facilities anymore, just mines, something really important, though. Besides of that, it is really fun. Discovering new facilities to build, building space stations and satellites, discovering new products, taking care of your colonists, building on underground levels...It's cool.
Sound is nice. There are not lot's of sounds, but music is very cool. There are videos sometimes, when you discover something. You know, I kinda want to play Outpost now.
Graphics are modest but that's what you expect from a 1995 game. It's cool. But for the entire value, I like this game. You know, if was the first windows 95 pc game I played on my win95 home computer. Before that I had 3.11 so...it doesn't count. I played it at my uncle's house on 96 and I had a copy of it on 97. It's nice to remember old days. I used to ask my father permission to play on the pc at 9 pm at least for 15 minutes, at that time I was 10 years old.
