OVERALL - 9.2

Graphics - 10
Outpost had some of the greatest graphics I had ever seen at the time of it's release. It featured cinematics, which I had never even heard of at the time. And the in-game graphics were as good as most RTS strategies or other sim games.

Controls - 8
The controls in Outpost are somewhat complex, just because there are so many options and different things that you can do/build. Yet once you get the hang of it, it is fairly intuitive.

Variety - 10
There are so many different buildings, from agricultural domes, mining, laboratories, residential areas, etc. And the more you research and advance, the more options there are. There is literally a whole world to create. The ability to use turns at will is also a nice feature and allows you to skip a bit of boring time when nothing much is happening.

Replay - 9
There is always something new each time you play, namely overcoming new obstacles each time. There are so many different planets and potential places to start your new colony that each new game is an adventure. If you get bored, there are lots of cheats to use to make the game easier/'better'.

Sound - 7
The whore-ish glowing AI sphere's voice gets somewhat annoying after a while. The soundtrack is pretty good though.

Depth - 10
You get to control a whole frickin civilization starting on a new planet! It doesn't get much more in-depth than that. From what you decide to take with you, to where you end up going, and where you set up everything, there are so many different choices in this game.
