Cool RPG game that really is more action though.

I saw this game just recently for like only $10 and found out its from 2007, but yet I've never heard of it.

Granted I don't check for new cool games a lot, but I'd say every 4 months.

Anyway, after reading the reviews I decided to get it. Like the reviews say its too short and shallow but yet sucks you in and has cool effects.

The graphics and scenery are very cool. No complaints there 20/20.

The sound for the most part is nice too, especially with insects crawling on walls. But certain sound effects are kind of mute and hard to hear. (8/10)

The play control is pretty friendly and probably at most would take 15 minutes. Each button has its own feature, where unlike some games two buttons share an action. No, this game is complicated where you'll be using all the buttons. (18/20)

The game design is kind of where the problem is. While there are several potions and rings and weapons to try out, you really can't try it out with much fun. There are literally monsters everywhere and in groups. You never really face one monster at a time, they're always in groups. You can't explore an area without taking 5 steps before fighting the next group of monsters. What's really bad, is that after clearing all monsters, if you leave that level and come back, they return. Since the game is kind of short though, you could probably experiment with the several potions, rings, and weapons on replay. Lastly, while there's several monsters, several of them are just a different strength or breed. Certain monsters and bosses also take awhile before you get the knowledge of defeating them (for instance some are more vulnerable to different weapons and spells)

Overall, the game should have had smaller but yet more levels, and more monster types and fewer on each floor. Overall design 18/25.

In the end though, the satisfaction is about 21/25. Its pretty cool with the several potions and you also get ale to drink (which will make the screen woozy).

IMO shallow or short is not my cup of tea, but yet when they're together (like in this game) it'll make at least one replay worthwhile (especially with cool graphics/sound).
