OP FP: RED RIVER holds it's own in the world of FPS....quite well.
I love this game for what it is, a realistic 1st person-shooter, a thinking & planning game. No run, gun & shoot here, because if you do, you'll die...QUICK. Great story-line, smart game play, if you know how to use your teammate, smooth on-line play. Well done level design & over-all graphics.
The A.I has improved on both sides, & the enemy A.I. moves a bit quicker this time around, taking up key positions & flanking smartly. The creators streamlined the interface , so that issuing orders are more on the fly. I do kinda miss the hicks to the next objective, as in Dragon Rising, because that's how it really is in the military at times "Hurry-up & Wait". But I do understand why they pulled back on it, 3rd time should be the charms, once they find balance.
My only complaint is to much talking from the SSG, outside of that, all is well.
This game is not trying to be COD, MWF, BF or GR...and it does itself well, which is VERY refreshing.
