Onimusha Blade Warriors isnt anything like the other Onimusha games out there. So instead in this game, you take control of lots of the people from the Onimusha series, including some capcom characters in there.
As you may have already heard this is similar to Super Smash Bros Melee, well the way its presented is but of course they have kept most of the onimusha controls, so its exactly as if your trying to kill one enemy.
However to explore other parts off the area you can move forwards and backwards but if something is above or below you, you tap down twice or up, this gives it a old school feel, especially since you cant use the Analog Sticks. But you get used to it, and the d-pad actually works very good for this.

There is quite a few characters to unlock, however doing one story mode of a player only lasts around 20 minutes. Each of the characters you unlock, all use the same moves, well they do different things but its the same controls and attacks they just look different.

This game is not worth it to people who have never played the other games, I would say try those first. This game doesnt really explain the story much either, just in very basic detail. But people will already know this if your a fan of the others.

The graphics doesnt offer that much, just some nice visual effects here and there, pretty decent. Again this goes for the sound in the game, nothing out of the ordinary just plain OK.

The Versus mode of this game is probably the most fun, but can still get boring after a little while.

I dont know if it was in Japan, but this game would have probably done a little better at the arcades. If you can pick this up for real cheap then its worth trying out, its good fun for a small amount of time. You will probably have to be a good fan of the Onimusha series to really like this game.
