Going to school couldn't be more fun if the gameplay is more smoother and clearer to enjoy.

The good: The gameplay and structure is similar to Wrestling Empire, plenty of things to do including wrestling, answering questions and is made for multiplayer in mind, the N64 style graphics is nicely done along with sound and music.

The bad: The locations can get a lot to get used to, no ability to reset the game (School Days PC only), no shortcuts to location whatsoever, too much of a grind to get top grades in each class, more parody characters would be great, lack of cross platform save.

To be honest, there are not many games that involves going to school and shooting for the top. Games that come to mind is Bully Scholarship on multiple consoles and later on PC, currently the Persona 3, 4 and 5 trilogy involving multiple questions and studying to improve your character. And that's basically it. Anyway, both games work well on the Switch and PC in different forms. Just that the gameplay itself left a lot to be desired.

To keep it short, depending on the role you're playing, as a student, your job is to learn and go for a top score. Teachers have to be in time and teach and has to work together with the principal. Civilians gets to do whatever it wants. As long as you play it like a Sims, it will work out fine. Losing sleep, sanity and grades is a gamble and if you're in trouble, you'll be taken to the principal for a verdict. Just like Hard Times on PC Steam on 2D. What takes it down is there's a lot of grinding for grades, going to different locations within the time and given how good the game is, it deserves a cross platform save. Also, having a short cut to locations would help but at least there's signs that would help you if you got lost since there's no map. Well, you see one in a bout a second.

The graphics on Switch, looks good in a more Nintendo 64 enhanced style thanks to technology of today and later will be available on PC. On the PC, it looks good in low and high definition. The sound and music is a no brainer: it sounds appropriate, and the music at least fits well with the theme.

Replay overall is good. Your friends can join in either Steam PC and Nintendo Switch since you're allowed to drop in and drop out of the game without any harm whatsoever. What hurts in its current state for both PC and Switch is the inability to reset the characters. So, for the time being, you can delete and start over on the Switch and you could do the same on Steam PC by starting over first by renewing the characters before continuring on..

There's nothing wrong with the game obviously. You can be a top grader of the school or go bad old school style or make your own characters through the editor, this game has what you need to enjoy. It's not as good as the games I mentioned above at the start. The gameplay may not be smooth but it's worth enjoying what it does offer in terms of its graphical style and finding things to do. Enjoy going Old School and hope the patches later on can help improve the game in the future.
