ObsCure review
Even though graphics aren't mind - blowing they get their job done - they make Leafmore highschool look creepy. Character models are nice, the school itself is gorgeous even if textures are a bit blurry and muddy. Game's soundtrack is surprisingly good, everything from random screams, collapses and monster growls to musical background (performed by children chorus) helps to set the scary, yet adventurous mood. Voice acting isn't great, but it works. I haven't much to say about game's controls - they are a bit clunky, yet quite easy to get used to. Just like in every other horror game there are puzzles, sadly these are as simple as they get and don't require much strategy or logic, on the other hand they make gameplay a bit more varied. Just as mentioned before you can play with a friend - that's the way this game was meant to be played and I strongly recommend to play it cooperatively. It's just easier to play this way since you know that someone will help you whenever you need.
Every student has it's own special ability: Stan can break locks faster than anyone else, Shannon will always give you an advice, Josh will always tell you whether there are any more items in the room or not, Kenny can sprint fast and Ashley has some kind of special attack I never used.
Obscure is a Survival - Horror game which didn't show anything new but still shouldn't be overlooked by anyone. It's fun, it's creepy, It's ObsCure.
