No More Heroes 2 is a game that tries to be nothing more than a game, and that is how it succeeds with great results.

You just gotta love Suda 51. The games he make are crude, wacky, in your face, and most of all, stylish. His latest game, No More Heroes 2, is no different.

The story begins 3 years after the events that took place in the previous one. Travis Touchdown, that lovable ol' otaku, meets up with Cloud-lookalike Skelter Helter to engage in a battle of epic proportions. Once Travis brutally finishes off his opponent he is greeted by Sylvia, who tells him that he is no longer #1, but instead number #51. Now not only is he climbing up to the top once again because of Sylvia's "promise", but also to avenge the death of a long-time friend...

The gameplay hasn't changed much from the first one, but there are definitely some improvements. I mean, there's dual beam katanas, an awesome new ecstasy mode, dual beam katanas, more playable characters, dual beam katanas, and more epic boss battles. Did I mention there's even dual beam katanas?

If you've played the first one, then you would know that it's graphics were less than stellar. However, it's sequel has graphics that look absolutely gorgeous in a lot of places and excellent lighting effects. So don't worry, you won't need to buy barf bags for your eyes for this one.

In the first one, the controls had a tendency to be unresponsive at times, but the second one's controls are definitely more responsive than it's predecessor. Granted, it still is unresponsive at times, but it works 98% of the time.

This game is a definite buy if you're a fan of Suda 51 games, or even beat 'em ups in general. The point is, this game is a truckload of fun and craziness mixed together to make one awesome package.
