very awesome game
wow. i actually remember when people were obsessed with this game! man, that was a loooooong time ago! well, let me tell you this before i get into the details: THIS GAME IS NOT WORTH OBSESSING OVER. yes it's good, but it's not the best game to ever exist! there's other games that are better that this out there! and, every nintendogs game is exactly the same except you start off with different ones in each game. just letting you know. :)
alright, enough of the obsessions. so, what you have to do in this game is take care of a dog. yes, taking care of pets is boring, so please don't expect to have the greatest time of your life when you play this game. well, this game really isn't boring. it's fun. yes, it's fun. YES I KNOW I SAID THAT STUFF ABOUT IT IN THE BEGINNING BUT THAT DOESN'T MEAN THE GAME ISN'T FUN. well, it's only fun to play because there's so much variety in this game. let's see... um, you can feed your dog, walk your dog, dress up your dog, play at the park with the dog, go shopping with the dog, play with other people's dogs, adopt more dogs, renovate your house, enter a contest with your dog, give your dog a bath, teach the dog tricks, talk to the dog, and that's about it. i think.
the graphics are amazing. like, this is an early ds game, and the graphics are very good looking. like, most ds games today have graphics equal to an early n64 game. but this game has the graphics of an early game cube game. and you know how the game cube has beautiful graphics? well, this game has beautiful graphics too. the dogs look real... a little bit. everything in this game has nice detail. like, the chihuahuas in this game have long fur by the ears and tail and stuff, the trophies shine and sparkle in the light, and i even saw a few little fuzz pieces hanging off the tennis balls..
everything in this game is controlled with the touch screen. like, if you wanna pet your dog, you touch the ds pen to the screen where the dog is, and move it left, right, or in any direction you can think of. you also use the touch screen to get the dogs to do new tricks. some things are controlled with the microphone too. like, if you want to blow up a balloon (yes, there are balloons in this game), you blow into the microphone to blow it up. and have i ever mentioned that when you teach a dog a new trick you can tell the dog what trick you want him to do by just saying it into the microphone? well, i mentioned it now!
the music in this game fits with everything (almost). like, they play fast paced music in the contests. and they play happy music when you take the dog for a walk. but, i don't see why they would play happy music while your dog is taking a crap! and the sound effects are good too. like, when your dog plays with a squeaky toy, you can hear all the squeaks and stuff. but the dog's barks sound kinda unnormal (i don't know if that's even a word).
the dogs in this game are so life-like. like, when you pet the dogs for a long time, they'll get all happy, and they'll lay down and roll over and stuff. and when you turn the game on to play it again (if you have it), the dogs will jump all over you and stuff. and if you grab their tail, they'll get mad and bite you (please, never pull a dog's tail. ever). and if you take good care of the dog, they'll love you. but if you neglect the dog, it will hate you.
so, this game is great. if you love dogs, but this game now. PLEASE RATE!!!
