A capable (albeit slow) and functional web browser.

To make tnis review more relevant, I have decided to write this on the actual product that I'm reviewing.

The Nintendo DS Web Browser is an ambitious little software that enables the DS to surf the internet. Taking full advantage ofthe DS' wi-fi capabilities (all 2mbps of it lol!), your DS can be a portable web surfing tool. It's a pretty ambitous feat that works; as long as you keep a few things in mind.

Let's talk about what it CAN NOT do. You can't watch streaming videos, hear any sound, download any files of sort, and play online Flash or any related games. What do you expect? This is, after all, designed for the DS. It's not a particularly powerful hardware that is not designed to go online to browse the internet.

However, what this thing can do is pretty impressive in it's own right. You can post on message boards, use basic e-mail functions, chat if you can find a working device, look at porno pictures (NAUGHTY BOY!). You can even use this to do research!

It has to be mentioned that the speed of the browser is not very fast. Gamefaqs takes around 30 seconds to fully load. Gamespot a heart pounding 2 and a half minutes. You can shorten the wait by disabling the images from loading. Other basic functions available are bookmarks, parental controls, passwords, multiple viewing options, stylus handwritting features, and more.

Overall, the DS web browser is perfect for people who want easy web access. Have other people in your house always hogging the PC? This is for you. A perfect companion by loading up a faq while you play your video game. This is a pretty neat software to take your DS online. God my writting hand hurts. . .
