A surprisingly good game with a cartoony twist.
-1 for being so repetitive, it keeps it fresh by forcing you to use different techniques, but it would have been nice to see a variety of concepts.
-1 for graphics, the cartoony style is charming, but could you give us a bit more then a rounded square with arms and legs please?
-0 for the off-beat humor, just thought I'd mention this for anyone who doesn't appreciate comedy attempts with "We Wee"
Difficulty and time spent:
The game only has around, say, 30 something levels, but they get very hard as you go on. Of course, if you REALLY get stuck, you can always attempt the level on easy mode after failing three times. I refuse to use this mode, which is why I still haven't beat this game XD
Gameplay
You are an old ninja in a hot air balloon, which is translated to "building defense buildings from the sky" which makes for a surprisingly fun "defend the tower" type experience. You can also use your old man ninja powers once your magical can is powered up, which as accomplished, as is getting cookies (ie. money to build stuff) by defeating baddies which are very creative.
Summary
A game that looks like its for kids, but is really enough to challenge a hardcore gamer without using the easy mode. If you're looking for a strategic game for your DS, give NinjaTown a try.
