The original that set the standard for this series
I still cannot belive this game was marketed toward kids i think i was about 10 when this game came out and i got it shortly after i remember breaking many controllers on this game and to be honest i didnt even beat it untill 2004 when i replayed it on the xbox NG and boy am i glad i did.Still incredilbly frustrating this was one of the best nes games and its one of the reasons nintendo kick everone elses ass in the 8 bit home console market even though there is a ninja gaiden for the sega master system it wasnt even close to the nes version it to be honest it was a mockery of the ng series and i think it was only available in austarlia for the master system which is not a big loss for us this game had excellent bosses,levels,weapons and story to keep player fully interested in continueing playing even after dying for the 400th time
