Don't see how people are rating this so low? Great for those who did not play the 360 version.

User Rating: 10 | Ninja Gaiden Sigma 2 PS3
I missed out on the 360 version but I played and owned at one time almost every other version of Ninja Gaiden(missed the Turbo Graphics 16 version).

I spent well over 40 hours playing Ninja Gaiden and Ninja Gaiden Black, and Sigma. I became jealous when they announced that Ninja Gaiden II was going to be released for 360 and it was going to be exclusive, right when I just sold my 360 out of fear of the RRoD.

After a years wait, I was happy to see Sigma 2 was actually going to be released.

When I started with the demo from the Japanese PSN, I felt right at home playing Ninja Gaiden Sigma 2 on the PS3. I thought at first the game was extremely easy on all the difficulties, but when I kept beating the stages, the demo unlocked a new difficulty. Each one got a bit tougher, but when you unlock "Master Ninja" mode, that is probably one of the most difficult games I played in ages. One direct hit and it was an automatic death.

The actual game only lets you start at "Warrior" difficulty and that's pretty easy, I am near the end of Chapter 2 and haven't died once yet. But I am sure that will pick up later on.

I see that a lot went into this game. It may not be worth $60 bucks for those who owns the 360 version, but to probably best describe it, it's probably a little more of an upgrade just like Sigma was an upgrade from Black. The Co-Op mode seems to be awesome from what I played so far.

I really like my games as hard as nails, just like life can be. This game on "Master Ninja" mode is that definitely but it doesn't seem cheap. Because of this, I will enjoy and call this game "My Game of the Year", probably until Uncharted 2 is released lol.
