A Very Good, Challenging Game! You'll Just Wish it Lasted Longer.

I'm not exactly sure why, but for some reason, I really thought that this game actually came out BEFORE "Nicktoons: Battle for Volcano Island". But now, I'm glad to find out that this game came out AFTER that other game! The DS version of this game fixes many of the short-comings of the Game Boy Advance game predecessor. This game features five characters you start off with, five you can earn by beating a level, and two you can unlock by inputting specific codes, actual combat against robotic enemy creations, including mini-bosses, and gigantic, metal bosses! There are six levels; five of those levels have a standard, side-scrolling stage, a race stage where you have to pilot a HUGE machine (hilarious in hindsight, as Nickelodeon would eventually get the distribution rights to "Power Rangers"!), down a stretch of highway or something, where you have to avoid or destroy dangerous boxes, and pick up health units and hidden art pieces for the art gallery. Than, you have to do battle against a giant, evil version of one of the five initial characters that you start off with. The last level features three side-scrolling sections, broken up by a boss-rush of two, than three of the bosses you destroyed previously! Finally, you face Professor Calamitous inside of a giant, machine version of himself, and you have to beat him TWICE in order to win the game! The characters look great, the graphics are awesome, the music is cool, the controls are solid, the difficulty is surprisingly challenging as well! The only short-coming of this particular game, is that it doesn't last as long as I would've liked it to. Of course, that may be because I'm such a GOOD video game player, I was able to finish it that much faster. Still, it is a solid entry for a Nickelodeon based video game, and I highly recommend it to anyone who is a "Spongebob Squarepants; Danny Phantom; The Fairly Oddparents; Jimmy Neutron; Tak and the Power of Juju; My Life As a Teenage Robot; Catscratch; El Tigre;" or "Invader Zim" fan! Enough said, true believers!
