Starts off well but ends up being just too tedious.

When I went to pick up this game I didnt know what to expect. I am a diehard football fan so I was excited to hear that there was a game like this comming out. At the same time, however, I knew that being a coach could be very tedious work.

So I went home and started it up. First off I will say that I find it ridiculous that there was so little to customize your Coaches looks with. I expected a game centered around this one charachter to let you at least somewhat change there looks around (only 8 choices of hairstyles, three being afros?). I mean come on EA. Thats pathetic. Besides the customization issues though the career mode portion of the game can be somewhat interesting albeit a bit boring at times. I loved the trading and draft parts. But then after about 8 hours of skipping through office hours (which cannot be substituted for something productive, but important trading sessions can) to get to the important parts you realize that this game is just wasting time. Out of the 8 hours it took me to get to the pre-season, probably 2 were spent accually doing something productive like scouting draft picks and doing the draft itself.

Then you get to the games of the season. They can be ok at times but after 45 minutes of just calling plays and hoping for the best to happen, you realize you might as well be watching paint dry.

Besides all these things they did wrong, I think there is a chance that future installments of this game could be ok if they did a massive overhaul.

Bottom line... Dont bother with this game.
