Despite the move to more of a "sim" style game, I found NFL Blitz Pro to still be a very enjoyable game. I like the additions of 11-on-11 play, 1st and 10, and no more catchup code. The game is still easy to pick up and play, but has more depth in play calling and in the franchise mode. The graphics are pretty sharp (thought not designed to be completely realistic), and the announcers are still funny and the most entertaining football announcers around. The sidelines are now interactive, as you can run out of bounds, brush cheerleaders out the way, knock the headsets off of coaches, and clear the bench of players. There are only a few problems I have with the game. They should have added more customizations for the game, such as the rules and game speed. More importantly, no online play. Just like EA, Midway needs to open itself to Microsoft and allow Xbox live compatibility. Overall, I think NFL Blitz Pro is still alot of fun and a great balance of arcade and sim. It will be an adjustment for Blitz fans (like myself), but it's well worth the ride!
