It is a good game & the review was a little harsh. We had an Olympics party and also had US Gold, Olympic Gold, Int Track & Field booted up and everyone went mad for London 2012 even the wives who felt they could better join in due to the control mechanic.
UK chart: London 2012 holds top spot
Official tie-in takes gold for second week with sales boost; silver to Lego Batman 2; bronze to Mario & Sonic's Olympic effort.
An 88 percent surge in sales put London 2012: The Official Video Game in first place for a second week in the UK games chart.
Sega's London 2012 defended the top spot from Lego Batman 2: DC Super Heroes, which stayed in the number two spot with a 15 percent drop-off in sales. Mario & Sonic London 2012 Olympic Games, the other tie-in title from Sega, held onto third place with a 42 percent boost in sales during the first week of the Olympic competition.
Further down the chart, Batman: Arkham Asylum continued to enjoy a resurgence with a 21 percent sales boost up to number four, while retailer promotions bumped Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim from eight to five.
A new entry in the UK chart, Risen 2: Dark Waters sailed into the UK charts at number 14, the buccaneering RPG sequel beating its predecessor's debut at number 29 back in October 2009.
