Totally miss these games. They always had the best soundtracks as well. Bring back some distillers songs! Seneca Falls in THPS2 i think is pretty much the song i associate with the whole series.

Summer of Arcade promotion kicks off with Robomodo's new $15 skateboarding game; Wreckateer, Deadlight, Hybrid, and Dust: An Elysian Tail to follow through August.
Tony Hawk will ride again next month. Xbox Live director of programming Larry "Major Nelson" Hryb today announced prices and release dates for 2012's Summer of Arcade promotion, which will kick off on July 18 with Tony Hawk's Pro Skater HD for 1,200 MS points ($15).
Developed by Robomodo (Tony Hawk Ride, Tony Hawk Shred), Tony Hawk's Pro Skater HD will be the first Tony Hawk title distributed exclusively through digital channels. It will contain levels from the first two Tony Hawk titles, retouched and running on a new game engine. Its soundtrack includes a mix of songs from past games, like "Superman" by Goldfinger, as well as tunes new to the franchise, like "Teenage Blood" by Apex Manor and "Please Ask for Help" by Telekinesis.
Confirmed characters for Tony Hawk's Pro Skater HD include familiar favorites like Hawk, Rodney Mullen, Andrew Reynolds, and Eric Koston, as well as newcomers like Chris Cole, Nyjah Huston, and Hawk's son, Riley Hawk.
Following Tony Hawk's Pro Skater HD will be Iron Galaxy Studios' Kinect game Wreckateer on July 25 for 800 MS points ($10). The title has players controlling a magic ballista, which gamers will use to destroy castles in a medieval fantasy world.
Next up will be Tequila Works' side-scrolling horror game Deadlight on August 1. This title puts players into a postapocalyptic world and will cost 1,200 MS points ($15). A week later on August 8, Scribblenauts studio 5th Cell will release its first shooter, Hybrid. The multiplayer game will sell for 1,200 MS points ($15) and has players enlisting as either Variant or Paladin factions and duking it out in a number of arenas.
The 2012 Summer of Arcade promotion will come to a close on August 15 with Dust: An Elysian Tail for 1,200 MS points ($15). Developed by Dean Dodrill, the role-playing game was originally targeted to be released through Xbox Live's Indie Games channel. After winning Microsoft's Dream.Build.Play competition in 2009, the game was granted a spot on Xbox Live Arcade.
Gamers who purchase three or more Summer of Arcade titles will receive 400 MS points ($5) back.

oh man I remember just spending days playing TH:PS 2 on my Dreamcast back in the day. Still think it was the best one. Def be picking this up
I purchased both Ride and Shred. Trust me, I'm ready for another classic Tony Hawk game. I actually drilled through and put trucks on my Ride board, it's more fun now.
I really enjoyed the PS and N64 releases of THPS and can't wait for the new HD version!
2 Like Make some new Tony games like the Underground series. Those were so much fun! Everything from the over the top skating, humor, and environment. Project 8, and then the RIDE games were complete shit, but those were awesome.
Remember riding as the wheel chair kid in Underground 2? Or jessie james on that revved up segway?
@Kenshin0011Project 8 was awesome, and Underground 2 was dogshit compared to it. Underground was part of the decline, Project 8 was great, then after that it just started going downhill and fast. The concept of Proving Ground was solid, but the actual skating mechanics just didn't feel right.
2 Like There will be 3 games I purchase. Tony Hawk, Deadlight, and Dust. I have been looking forward to them for a little while now, and can't wait to play through them. Tony will be a nice ride down memory lane, and the other 2 just look damn fun.
THPS HD might be worth a trip down memory lane, but I can only hope it still comes complete with a Sim Mode cheat ;-P

The franchise was dead after thps3...imhoDoes Tony even skate anymore? he's what? 50 now? and doing commercials for pizza rolls?..give it up activision..give it up...let it go...I love skating and all things skate related..and the first 3 games were good..(I suppose) But..this is dead...

well, $5 back is better than their last promotion, which amounted to "buy all 5 games and get one C-grade Diablo clone free!"
4 Like Every time I played THPS I would skip all the songs just to listen to "Superman" again and again.
I used to listen to Cyco Vision and Superman. They were my top 2 favorite songs. I only played THPS for the N64 and PS, THPS 3 for the N64 and I recently purchased THAW for the Xbox 360. THAW wasn't that great. I just collected stuff to build a stupid skate park.
These are all $15? Nope, just like PSN and Steam, I'm going to wait for these XBLA titles to go down to $5-$10 price point. It will happen, and I have plenty to play right now. If enough of us did this, we would see these kind of prices fail and be DOA. I'm only mildly curious in two of them anyways.
The $5 refund is nice if you buy $45 worth of XBLA games, but not a good enough incentive as the 400 points stay on your account.

Apparently they realised that this year no one wants to stuck having to buy a Kinect game to qualify for the promotion.
Good call. Kinect is worthless.

July 18th????.......More like Middle of Summer of Arcade promotion......I thought this was coming out June 30th.......

3 Like @OmegaSabre They had to go back to the well sooner or later, there hasn't been a great Tony Hawk game for several years now (it varies, some like Project 8 and Proving Ground, while others feel the series peaked with the Underground games).While it probably won't be enough to "fix" the franchise, it should be enough to renew interest, at least.
@XanderMercuryIt peaked at Underground...however Project 8 was pretty good. Lost interest after that. I hope their isn't people out there still complaining that the game is arcady. That's what make it fun! I miss the old Tony Hawks.
