Telltale's The Walking Dead coming 'soon' - Report

Anyone know why this is not available for IPad/IPhone?

@infinitecrysis, Shane didn't change one bit. He was dogging Rick in Season 1, he was going to kill Rick in Season 1 and he tried to rape Lori in the CDC. Nothing new was added. Carl doesn't seem so heartless to me, he was even crying when Rick made his speech at the end of Season 2. Nothing new happened with him either. Daryl seemed to c are in Season 1, otherwise he would have ditched them, Nothing new. I could go on. I don't need to seem zombie killiing all the, I want a even balance on more important facts than who is the baby daddy. Nothing new was added for season 2 except pointless filler.

@Billy Well, first of all, if you were ever stupid enough tried to Confront me as a a Walker or just yourself, I guarantee that it wouldn't end well for you. @Ryan_Z The Walking Dead was a virtually unknown Comic before the Television Series was Made? I actually should have stopped reading your post right after that, because it completely strips you of any credibility. You clearly have no idea what you are talking about. Are YOU aware that the Comic Book had been well established for over SEVEN YEARS and had been in publication since 2003 before the Television series was even a blip on the Radar Screen? The Comic Book has a very well-established fanbase, and that's why there was interest to make it a TV Show in the first place. If you actually had the first clue of what you are talking about, you'd know that. The TV Series is BASED ON THE COMIC BOOK. The Characters in the show are the same characters in the Comic Book. Robert Kirkman, the Writer and Creator of the Comic Book is, ONE OF THE PRODUCERS OF THE SHOW. So the idea that the TV Show is completely separate from the Comic Book, and the characters are somehow Darabont's own creations, is a product of your own ignorance. As for the rest of your post, that's your opinion. And as laughable and uninformed as it is, I suppose you have a right to it.

Anyone know a site where I can watch season 2 of Walking Dead? I watched Season 1 on Netflix, but I dont think that they are going to add season 2 for a while.

Walking Dead comic book are great!! Lots of gore and characters dying and killing each other!! TV series is good...I thought it would suck but it is actually good (given everything that was cut as they cannot show on tv). I'm a Zombie freak so I think a game has potential and will probably get it. What does concern me is that there is so many ways of doing it wrong...that I won't get hyped just because it has the "Walking Dead" brand. As usual....hope for the better, prepare for the worst!! :)

I got news for alot of you.... just because someone plays games and likes the show doesn't mean they're stupid or ignorant because they don't read comic books. 95% of the population doesn't read comic books, and being they don't read them, they wouldn't have heard of the Walking Dead comic. Ya see? 2+2. Just because you're lucky enough to be included into the 9th circle of geekdom doesn't mean non-comic readers are any dumber.

@ mrfidget I understand where ur comin from. Season 1 was amazing! I too feel that its a change of pace from wut i expected it 2 b. But even still the show is still the best show on tv. I dont think i've ever made it a priority to b home to watch a tv show in my entire life. This show has me sucked in im not gonna lie. As for the game, i hope it doesnt dissapoint.

I'm actually more excited for the Facebook game, sadly. But I'm worried that neither one will live up to my own expectations of them. But oh well. I'm already into the show, I guess I don't need to be into another game yet.

Am I the only person who doesn't like the show? I think it started off with such potential and then just gradually got rid of it as it gradually descended into the cliches of modern television.

@Philly1UPer To be fair, the top selling comic book in June 2011 sold 135,000 copies. A well known comic book among comics buyers represents a very small group.

@BillyColeman Walking Dead comics unknown? Yeah, because people throw out millions of dollars making making two seasons of a TV Show based on a comic that is "unknown".......

Yay! Another zombie game! I hope it has cobbled together weapons, 4 player coop and lets you mow down hordes of zero-AI ememies, except for some super-zombies with gross powers.

@suprsolider really? really? How about Shane falling deeper into the abyss after sacrificing Otis to save Carl and what that's done to him. Or Rick falling from his perch and realizing that no matter how hard he tries the world they knew is gone. Or Carl becoming almost heartless? How about Darryl showing for what seems to be the first time in his life that he cares and when it doesn't turn out he turns his back on everybody and goes on his lonesome because he will never hurt himself. Or Glen realizing that this isn't the end and that there could be more to life as long as you want something more. Or were you just too busy complaining that there's not enough killing of walkers to see those?

i love the show... so try not to fuk this up telltale games.

I hope that this time they'll improve the graphics. "back to the future" episodes were great, but were lacking in the visuals department. I wonder how this will play out...

Im kindof disappointed they went off and are making you characters not even in the show or comics. So if it wasnt for sporadic appearances by familiar faces, it would just be an episodic zombie game?

I can't wait. I love any game that involves killing Z's. The Walking Dead is an awesome show-well written. Hopefully the game won't disappoint.

If I was designing 'The Walking Dead' videogame, it would also go gold. It would suck but it would get this kind of attention. - I really hope this game doesn't suck. Forget good, just please don't suck.

I'll take anything involved with The Walking Dead, they're releasing a social Facebook game for it as well - sadly enough I'm hugely excited for!

don't fool yourselves. telltale is the king of adventure games and they wont do a damn mistake to ruin that. jurassik park had an awful, tiresome qte mechanic, but the story was great and the experience was worth it for me. not to mention the back to the future games. loved it. so you guys know what to expect, this one is going to be half point and click, half qte adventure game with a lot of tens action sequences and a beatifull story. all in a pretty comics style graphic. to keep the game true to the walking dead roots. anyway, telltale rarely let me down so i'll expect a great deal out of this one!

I just hope this won't be another QTE fest like Jurassic Park. That was the worst title Telltale ever released.

This is coming from the point-and-click masters. Sam and Max was fun and so were the ol` Monkey Island games but they are running the point-and-click dry.

@BillyColeman I didn't say if it was good or bad, but in the comic world walking dead is currently one of the most popular series, and certainly one of the top 5 non-superhero series, someone saying "walking dead comic was virtually unknown" is 100% wrong, that's a fact. You saying some manga is better then walking dead is opinion.

its fun to watch people argue opinions as fact, im waitng for someone now to say "no TWD is not the best comic ever, see on my top 10 list of comics it only ranks as 5th"

Skiveron good one that was smart but ill tell you what id rather read the Highschool of the Dead (manga) then read the walking dead comic. hell even the lord of the books be better you act as if the walking dead comic is something so epic Robert Kirkman is a bad writer

@ Ryan_Z - I logged in for the first time in years just to reply to your comment so you should be flattered. I've worked in brick and mortar comic shops for over 11 years and The Walking Dead was a HUGELY popular series far before the TV show ever aired. And the book is insanely well written with more far more character depth and plot movement in a 6-issue arc than an entire season of the TV show. Now, I enjoy the show. I wish it was a little more action packed, and much to my own surprise, I actually enjoy the massive plot differences in between the two. Since I've read all the books already, it's refreshing to not know what to expect. One thing I don't like is the Shane/Rick dichotomy. Rick's personality in the comics (especially the recent ones) is essentially Shane + Rick on the show. They split his personality into two characters, not sure I like that. Anyways. Either you've never heard of or read the books yourself before the TV show aired , or some walker ate half your brain already.

You are probably one of those new age kids who don't read books ( even comics!) and probably don't even know any comic other then batman and spider-man or any books other then harry potter or lord of the rings.

I like the show but I have to agree with suprsolider here. Up until last nights episode my patience was wearing extremely thin with the soap opera like drama and as solder said if we wanted to watch days of our lives or Dallas we would. Personally the first season was amazing but this has been a let down.

@Ryan_Z Hell no, the comic is way better than the TV show could ever hope on being. The plot is better written, the chracters are fleshed out. The TV show has stupid pointless drama worthy of a days of our lives episodes but with zombies. If I wanted to watch soap operas, I would watch them. I want to watch a show about them surviving in a world filled with the walking dead. What have we got so far this season, magical teleporting ninja zombies, we got horrible who's the babies daddy storyline, a search for a girl who has been dead for 6 episodes, then 3 trying to decide what to do with Randall and at the end of each episode getting back to where they were 3 episodes ago accomplishing nothing. And you seriously believe the TV series has done better than the comics. You have to be awfully stupid to believe that.

@infinitecrysis, You have to be kidding. Seriously, what character building has there been in season 2. NONE. Not 1 bit. The love triangle with Rick,Shane and Lori has been there since episode 3 of the series. Dale just stated the obvious and was the moral support of the group and been that way since the first season. Glenn hasn't changed much other than getting a girl friend, he is just backround. T-Dog has done practically nothing. Sophia is dead. Andrea has done the most growth and even at that, it is very little. Seriously, you want good character development go watch Night of the Living Dead and the original Dawn of the Dead. Hell the Dawn remake has better character development than all of season 2 of TWD. Atleast Romero knew how to keep a even balance of action and character development (he has lost it in later dead films sadly).
