Sol Trigger blasting this August in Japan

PSP RPG comes from the developer of the Luminous Arc series and Arc Rise Fantasia; preorder bonus includes drama and soundtrack CD.

While plenty of gamers have moved on to the PlayStation Vita for their Sony-branded portable fix, they should not count the PSP out just yet, particularly if they're from Japan. Developer Imageepoch, known for the Luminous Arc series on the DS and Arc Rise Fantasia for the Wii, recently announced in the latest issue of Famitsu (via Andriasang) that the upcoming PSP role-playing game Sol Trigger will be out on August 30 in Japan.

Gamers who preorder the title will get a free dramatic story CD featuring the game's voice cast, a limited soundtrack CD, and an artbook. The preorder bundle will also contain codes that can be used to unlock special items in the game.

Sol Trigger is claimed to be the most expensive project Imageepoch has ever done. The combat system for the RPG will be turn-based and will implement the Sol system. Players can use a party member's Sol power to activate special moves and skills; the more they use it, the stronger the skills become.

Each party member can learn new skills by using new types of weapons. More so, if a party member's hit points reach zero, players are given the option to recover that party member, provided he or she has some Sol power left.

"The combat system for the RPG will be turn based"Ok, that's all I need to know.  If this makes it over to the US, this is a day one purchase.  PLEEEEEASE bring this over Imageepoch, or XSeed, or Aksys Games, or really anyone else who knows what a rarity good RPGs are these days.

@Cloudslash **** Xseed.  If they bring it over it'll be download-only and I'll never get to play the release anyway.  Anyone else is fine, though.
