Silent Hill creeps up on March

@Gelugon_baat : I second that, Mighty Switch Force has the best soundtrack I ever listened on any portable game. WayForward's games are pretty carismatic and they have original ideas, I do believe they are good enough to bring us a good game. Still, being careful is never too much.

It would be great to have SH1 in this collection... But I'm happy to have SH 2 and 3. And still believe in Downpour...

silent hill 2 and 3 are the best in the series --- sh 4 was ok - and homecoming was an average game with good graphics and a poor story ---

It's a big disappointment, that KONAMI did not include SH1, SH4: The Room, SH: Shattered Memories and Origins in this so called Silent Hill Collection. It's doesn't matter, if half of them are spin-off's or not... So now, the only reason to buy this collection is SH2 (cause let's be honest SH3 is not that great)

Max Payne 3 and Mass Effect 3 own March. Not a good month for a release. Especially if Konami wants to win back their fans. After all, Resident Evil is also out in March.

Anyone knows if "Downpour" will be available as a Digital Download or not? @GamerYnoX @diegomode They'll never include SH4 in the "Collection"...because SH4 is A SPIN-OFF. It doesn't have ANYTHING to do with SH's main story. I guess it technically kinda IS part of the SH Universe... but it doesn't have a place in a "Collection" (typically, this are "the key games we need to play to understand and enjoy the story of the franchise"). Soo...it will NEVER be a SH4 HD for PS3/X360.

I like the series, but I;m not that good in puzzle scenes.

It wouldn't hurt to stuff SH and/or SH4 in the disk. I know the first Silent Hill may not have the best graphics but no one would complain and it would make the collection sort of complete.

They didnt include Silent Hill 1 because the graphics are so dated they would of had to completely remake the game, they stuck with SH2 &3 because the graphics still look decent so all they had to do was up the resolution like Capcom did with Resident Evil 4.

Ok, ok. No one will remake a PS game in HD, but where's SH 4?

I love horror games, but I just wish that I had the backbone to play them for longer than 15 minutes at a time :P

They screwed the voices and we dont even get the original SH game?.. At least they should have included a code to download it :(

How sad............ We still need to wait for 2 month :( I love this franchise best of all!!!...... Don't know about remake version - but I will definitely buy "Downpour"..... We all hope for a good "SH" game - so, KONAMI - don't disappoint us please..... ;)

its not a collection if it doesnt include Silent hill 1...its just a lection. I already have Silent hill 2 and 3 in HD..i have a PC lol.

Stupid Konami - what we, Silent Hill fans, waited form them is great HD remake of the first game. They are just to lazy to make it. Like everyone else. Just like MGS1 - one of greatest games - just imagine remade it with MGS4 engine...

I like the other games but I don't really need a remake of them. What I NEED is someone to fix that f***ing mess I paid £15 for on Steam called "Silent Hill: Homecoming". WHAT THE F*** WERE YOU DOING WHEN YOU MADE THAT GAME?

Excluding SH1 from the HD collection was the deal breaker for me. As for Downpour I'm ganna pass or just wait to get it dirt cheap. Last SH I played was Homecoming which was a big disappointment.

@THE_DRUGGIE I feel your pain bro. SH2 is one the few games with real adult thematic though is so subtle. The new games are just holiday horror movies.

This series is dead to me now. Good lord, it was actually physically painful to watch anything related to Book of Memories. I won't even glance at Downpour since it's being made by those people. Seriously why? Why? Why why why why why why why why why?

I'm guessing that PS1 titles are lower priority for HD upgrades than PS2 titles, because not every PS3 is backward-compatible with PS2 titles, but they are all backward-compatible with PS1 titles. Which may or may not be bad for XBox users.

I was never to play the Silent Hill series, but should be as good as resident evil!

they're prob gonna do a complete remake of the original since it's so popular and release it as a stand alone game. that's my guess as to why the original is not being included...

Why are Konami leaving out originals in their HD Collections ??? No MGS1 or Silent Hill 1. Although I will still be buying the MGS collection to play 2 & 3 with up to date graphics & controls. Silent Hill though... Probably not. The first was and still is the best in the series.

Going to collect them all..... Hopefully there will be a collectors edition (for Downpour) in the works, but I doubt it since its so close to launch.

I hope book of memories is a massive flop and nobody buys it. However, I have high hopes for downpour.

I've never played any of these games but I may buy the HD collection and Downpour

March belongs to Mass Effect 3. All else can wait.
