the mechanics are a little different so i hope they fix this issue there wil some annoyed people out there
Capcom releasing trial for October's zombie shooter to public later this month for Microsoft, Sony platforms.
Capcom's Resident Evil 6 arrives on store shelves on October 2, but gamers won't need to wait that long to play the new zombie shooter. The publisher has announced that the demo previously available only to owners of Dragon's Dogma will arrive on Xbox Live and PlayStation Network on September 18. No mention was made concerning a release for PC.
If the public demo for Resident Evil 6 mirrors the private one, it will include missions taken from the game's four distinct campaigns that focus on protagonists Chris Redfield, Leon Kennedy, Jake Muller, and Ada Wong. In the Chris Redfield mission, players will face off against the nasty J'avo humanoid creatures with colleague Piers Nivans on rooftops in China.
During the Leon Kennedy mission, gamers will fight alongside Helena Harper while exploring the inside of the Ivy University campus, which is replete with zombies. Finally, the Jake Muller mission takes place in a war-torn Edonia and has players teaming up with Sherry Berkin to escape the clutches of the Ustanak, a new enemy type in Resident Evil 6.

RE6 demo feels so much more fast paced than RE5 and the controls dont feel too good either. I hope they fix it
I did not like the demo my self it's like this game I played before oh yeah gears of war lol not fun don't get me wrong gears of war is a fun game this game is to over rated
after played the demo deside not to buy the game,i mean this sucks wtl is ths a resident evil game ? seems more like gears of war with zombies......
where is the horror aspect of the game? 4 and 5 was ok not like 1,2,3 but they have something to show,6 is just a big crap am done with capcom
After Revelations my hopes were high but having played the demo I'm staying well away. Pains me to say it seeing as Resi 4 is still one of my favourite games ever but the game play just feels dated, gameplay-wise I personally felt it was like playing a bad Uncharted game and I'm not even a big fan of the Uncharted series. I shouldn't be able to move when shooting either, granted it's a 2012 game but that's one of the reason Revelations is so good and works so well; especially when the movement when aiming is a spoor as it is in the demo.Just doesn't seem to click like Dead Space does, I'm actually gutted as to how bad the demo plays. As for the quick time events and how bad Chris's boss fight is.......Here's hoping the Vita will get a Revelations port, I'd argue it's one of the strongest titles in the series.
xbox is a con, you have to be a gold member to dl the res ev 6 demo, thats a first, so i thiught, sove it up your arse bill gates, and i got it from psn, plus, the jury is still out on this one, its more of a shooter, which im not really into. and also, where is the ada wong campaign????
@fourthson I actually laugh at the people still on the Xbox platform, I can't see the appeal when compared with PS3 or PC. You pay for online to play just a handful or exclusives you can't elsewhere and for services you can find elsewhere too. The lack of new ips is also a joke too. The only draw now for me would be the arcade games but considering the huge indie game variety on PC, why would I?
where in the hell is it!!!!! it is 3:30 pm in Cali and still nothing com the hell on WE want it Now!!!!!!!!!!!!

http://www.capcom-unity.com/brelston/blog/2012/09/04/new_re6_demo_coming_to_360,_ps3_on_sep_18 Actually according to Capcom, the public demo is the (far superior) San Diego Comic-Con demo, not the DD demo
I'm psyched for October 2nd. I'd rather not play any demos as I feel it would kinda spoil the full experience
Just so you guys know, I'm not a fan of the new gs news. Reason being, I like my news in one place. A round up if you will. I like that you are experimenting with new things but if I tune into the news on TV I don't want to have to change channel 10 times to see each headline. I just want to put it on and watch. Clicking another link each time I want to see another report is not as good as before. Please think about changing it back. TA! X
What is with some of you guys? I understand it isn't as scary as the older games; but these whining comments are really getting old. I played every resident evil game and loved the classics for the classic scare tactics and cheesy dialogue. Heck, I even wish those games were brought back in a next gen fashion. But complaining about it isn't really going to solve anything.
If you want the games to be like that so bad; then actually "DO" something about it. Do online petitions or do something similar to what 2DNinjas.com is doing for 2D Naruto fighters like Ultimate Ninja and Accel. 2DNinjas is actually getting the 2D fan community involved in their project. They are currently sending out copies of box art they created to members of the cyberconnect. And each box has the name of a person who contributed to the project with a donation. Plus they are doing promos on youtube as well as explaining their mission. Their main objective is to get Cyberconnect to make an effort to bring 2D Naruto fighters back into the gaming world. They simply want Cyberconnect to know that the there are still 2D fans out there and they want to see 2D Naruto games return. These guys even have a website and host video discussions.
@vengefulwilberg online petitions rarely work lol.
That is kind of true; however you just never know. Trying is better than nothing. 2DNinjas has the right idea though. They are going beyond online petitions and is going straight to the source. Plus they are getting the fan community involved. I am just saying. I would rather try and be part of something that is more productive than complaining. Showing your frustrations does get attention at times; but it is always better to try and do something that goes beyond just words.
After all, isn't it better to send frustrations about a game to the developers in some respectable form instead of wasting your time mouthing off to other gamers? It maybe a slim chance of victory; but there is a way to get things done. And that my friend is action. Action always speaks louder than words.
RE 6 is going to be pure hype in a good way. I have seen enough of it to know that this game is going to be Capcoms' best work of this year. Street Fighter X Tekken is a fun game; but their greed strategy pissed off a lot of people. And that anger turned a relatively fun, good game into an unlikable game for a lot of people. I am not really worried about RE 6 though. RE 6 looks really exciting and different.
I really bought SF X Tekken because Tekken characters were in it. And I must say Capcom did an exceptional job with the Tekken side. I thought some tekken characters played better than others and some characters were a bit closer to their Tekken counterpart in a Street Fighterish kind of way.
I am not really a big Capcom fan anymore. I am not a fan of MVC3. I still play SF X Tekken; but I now just play it when I get invited to matches or I have the itch for it. The next time I see a Street Fighter game I better see something different or I am not getting it. Either I will not buy it or wait until I find it super cheap.
I want to see a better story, better character progression in terms of abilities and age, and bring the more classical 2D graphics back. I want to see something like SF Third Strike; but better. If they do stick with the SF 4 graphics at least make sure to enhance the gameplay of every character and add more new stuff. I am getting a bit bored of SF; because the characters really don't change much at all. Every SF Third Strike version of the cast in SF 4 looked as if they evolved more than their SF 4 counterparts.
@vengefulwilberg Resident Evil 6 looks different? I guess you haven't played gears of war or RE ORC. RE6 looks like gears of war with zombies. Same corny boring crap that comes out every year. Its obvious they are trying to sell to the cod crowd.
This month and next month is going to be a busy as far as games go. I got Tekken Tag Tournament 2 preordered. Being an hardcore Tekken fan I am going to be brawling all year long with TTT2. Next week is going to be straight up Tekken Mania. I can't wait for RE 6. That game is obviously going to be my go to coop game this year. But, the funny thing is I think I will look into borderlands 2 later on. I didn't like the first borderlands game; however this next one looks pretty tight.
I'm getting the PC version of this game that way I can go online all the time and plus there will be in the PC version.
Oooo, Sept 18th. I already got Borderlands 2 slotted for that date... Damnit, we may just have to wait to try out RE6.
I'd like to see the original Resident Evil remade for todays consoles. I'm not talking an HD remake, I mean a total over haul, a completely remade game. I think it would sell better than the new Resident Evil games.
@Vodoo What? They already did that lol. Resident evil remake for gamecube and later came out for wii. They aren't going to re remake it. If anything, it will release on XBL and PSN with 1080P resolution. Or hopefully remake resident evil 2, since thats what all the Resident Evil fans want
I remember being so stoked for 5 when I first heard about it, then the more I learned about it I was getting more and more turned off. Then the no shoot and move really killed it for me. Then I saw my friend playing it, and that did it. With that, I don't own any Resident Evil games and I know how good they can be, I mean 4 is one of the best games I have played, so I will get this unless all the reviews are consistently underwhelming.
@tightwad34 Move and shoot? Go play uncharted or Queers of war if you want that. Resident evil is suppose to be hard and its suppose to have stop and shoot mechanics. 5 sucked, and 6 looks worse for the real resident evil fans. Its an action adventure game. Its suppose to be survival horror with puzzles and problem solving, but capcom sold out so they could sell their action game to the little 8 to 15 year old call of duty geeks. Pretty sad. I just bought RE5 for $15 new just for the story though. Definitely not wasting $60 on 6.
No, I don't mean run and gun, I mean the ability to walk and shoot at the same time. All the other Resident Evils had it up until 5. And I like the Uncharted games, if a bit overrated. Gears of War, no thanks. I didn't know 6 was going more away from the survival horror like 5 did. I guess I should play the demo, or at least the new one when it comes out.
No, don't have any on hand, and I am way too lazy to look for any. I know you could walk and shoot in 2. I remember playing the crap out it for the N64.
@tightwad34 Can you link me to a video of moving and shooting in resident evil 1 to or 3? Cant find any.
Nemesis was really fun. Nemesis chases you around town and he can out run you. It was really fun and scarey as hell at times. I played this when I was young; so I had to take frequent breaks.
You could in all the ones I have played. It's one of the things that made it what it is. At least for me.
@tightwad34 You couldn't walk and shoot in any of the resident evil games except 4 I think...
i like the re series but it is coming out just 2 weeks later and borderlands 2 comes out that day. won't have time to play the demo before the release i guess i will have to wait until oct
Watched gameplay videos of the RE6 demo and its focus on Leon, Jake, and Chris. I wasn't impressed one bit. Looks like nothing but a shooter with horror elements. Might as well be compared to L4D.
Yea on Oct. 2, all other games will b on the backburner. I will be getting every acheivement for that. Damn i cant wait!!!
