I know a lot of you are going to be like wtf is she on about, and I'm not posting this here to start an argument. I own a video game shop in Australia and the average price of a new release here is $80-100.My main concern is whether the next gen consoles are going to be pre-owned compatible. I just want to point out to everyone that if a company or my store buys a new release title from the supplier and the RRP is $80, we pay $72 + shipping for the game, so in reality from new games we don't make any money, that's why they're constantly so expensive. Even if their base sell price is $60 maximum it's still going to cost me $50-55 to have it in the shop. I highly urge Sony and eventually Microsoft to allow people to use pre-owned in their consoles otherwise we're all going to see a lot of independent video game shops closig down but I also think bigger companies like Gamestop (eb games in Australia) and Game closing down a lot of shops. Am I the only one that's super concerned about this?
@ascrobleThat's the point of it Ascroble, because they want independent game shops like yours closing down. The act out of stopping all pre-owned games to be bought is an act out of greed which people tend to see past. The majority of gamers listen to what they're told through the gamer media and websites like these. I am very sorry to hear that you're an owner your self, but it's the sad truth. . Maybe if you, and many others make their voice heard loud enough, and by enough people that we can change this. Keep pressing my friend, maybe start up a trend on Twitter if you can! Love.
