Since we're talking about two huge companies developing the game, I think it is likely that we'll get to play it.
Professor Layton vs. Ace Attorney in session this November
There is currently no word on an English release date for the game.
Level-5 has announced the Japanese release date for the upcoming adventure crossover title Professor Layton vs. Ace Attorney. The adventure game is slated to be out in Japan on November 29 for the 3DS.
The game features lead characters Professor Layton and Phoenix Wright as they join forces to solve puzzles and overarching mysteries in a surreal medieval town. The game features a double protagonist system; the parts where you play as Professor Layton allow players to explore the town with his sidekick Luke. The sections where you control Phoenix Wright allow players to interrogate and cross-examine witnesses alongside his sidekick Maya Fey.
Last August, Ace Attorney creator Shuu Takumi said that the development process was at its climax. There is currently no word on an English release.
