If you love ME buy omega if not and you're on a budget; don't bother. Go play ME2 lair of the shadow broker
$15 single-player expansion now available for BioWare's spacebound role-playing game on Xbox 360, PS3, and PC, but not Wii U.
Gamers in the market for more Mass Effect 3 are in luck. The game's single-player Omega expansion arrived today on Xbox Live, PC, and PlayStation Network. The content costs $15 and weighs in at nearly 2GB.
The Omega downloadable content focuses on Aria and her fight to take back Omega with the help of series hero Commander Shepard.
"Forced to rely on Aria’s unique knowledge of the station and faced with her lust for revenge, how far will you go to retake Omega?" reads a line from the content's announcement.
Mass Effect 3's Omega DLC will not be available for the Wii U version of the game, BioWare revealed last week. For more on Omega, check out GameSpot's Now Playing video segment, embedded below.
this DLC sucked. Corridor shooter. not enough story. Butchered an interesting character in Aria T'Loak - one-dimensional.? Completely boring environments. Glitches. Insulting thing? cannot even visit afterlife again. oh and EAware, dont bother with making a videogame out of mass effect EVER again, hand it over to a company that doesn't butcher series.
Bought it and beat if yesterday, and I can honestly say that it's not worth it. This is quite possibly the most disappointing Mass Effect DLC I've ever played (although Arrival was pretty bad, too). For $15, you get 2 hours of gameplay. Once it's done, it's done. Shadow Broker allowed you to visit a new small area whenever you wanted and had a handful of fun little side things to explore. Not here. The story is weak and gives no compelling motivation for what Cerberus is doing, and there is no further insight into any other aspects of the plot. Choice is entirely an illusion, as it ends exactly the same no matter how you decide to play things out, which is extremely disappointing given that a $15 pricetag should have some replay value. The writing is also extremely lazy. For example, there are two speeches during the DLC that are supposed to be inspiring (one of the ends up inspiring the citizens of Omega to fight against the Cerberus oppressors), but the speeches just come off as flat and unconvincing. On the good side, Aria is fleshed out a bit more as a character, which was enjoyable to see.
@thequickshooter Congratulations on allowing 100 hours of gameplay being ruined by 5 minutes of ending.
@Warlord_Irochi it was way more then a mere 100 hours of gameplay
i playied ME1 and ported it to ME2 and ported it to ME3
so u know how much work i sacraficed
that picture is such a fail, that enemy isn't even in ME3, drell aren't playable or in Omega at all, its from ME2, lazy bastards
@ValmartheMagi You need to watch again the ending, the extended one I mean. Or did you miss the part when they start repairing them?.
@SolidTy The Mass Effect Trilogy might be a better purchase, especially for those who don't any of the games (such as myself).
watched dlc walkthrough on youtube...total bs, just pointless shooting.
paying 20$ for this piece of s...downloadable content is just "...ma ma ma ma ma madness..."
For $15 there should at least be a new hub world to visit or some kind of after effect besides war credits after you beat. From what I read on Bio forums, this doesn't seem to be worth the extra $5. I'll youtube it to see but it sounds pretty disappointing according to player reviews.
@texasgoldrush now lets not got that far chief, there could have been some new weapons or squad mate or even an opportunity to show an actual mass effect 3 space battle (the ones they show are of one ship shooting once or twice at undisclosed target) but none of that happened. was i entertained? yes, was it better the LOTSB? absolutely not
Oh my god there is a female turian in it. Awesome. i so wished that next entry would still be a sequel following shepard 's epic stories.
@strawberry9 I realize that some people enjoyed the ending, however it ruined the whole series for me. I see no point in investing more time and money into the series when it does not affect the overall outcome of the game. Most DLC content add to ending of a game not pre ending. Won't be buying any of the ME3 DLC either. Hope those that do enjoy it.
@strawberry9 why? im about to buy it....
Just logged into origin to play some MP for the first time in many months, no new DLC listed in the store...
