All I can say is: I spent hours, and hours to help save about every race in the game for nothing!! Thanks for wasting my time!! Just to show you how much I thank you for that, I will not be buying anymore games from you Bioware. Could have made Sheppard live, or die, and/or continue the story with any other team member you have;  but no.. Oh no... can't do that. Don't get me wrong, the story was great, untill you went up to the children of the corn room, and all the work you did to save everyone ment nothing. All it did was give you more un-answered questions and alot of time you don't get back.

WOW. Really, bioware? You are just explaining the ending to people, telling them that they are dumbasses and needed this dlc to understand what happened? WE understand perfectly. All worlds are cut off from each other, the fleets that came to hep sheaperd fight the reapers are stuck on earth, draining it's already crippled resources, unitl everyone starves to death, and the krogans start eating people. People don't want the ending to be explained they want it to be CHANGED.

While I agree that the ending wasn't what I expected, to say that my choices throughout the two previous games meant nothing would be a lie. I say this because, in my opinion, just about everything was resolved (the genophage, geth/quarian conflict, etc.) by the time you reach the citadel. The only thing that really wasn't was the fate of Shepard, which to be honest, wasn't all that surprising considering before you make that final push to the citadel, they give the player a chance to say his final goodbyes to the characters that they formed relationships and bonds with over the past games. I'm not gonna hold anything against ME3 for the simple matter that it wasn't about how it ended, it was about what got you to that point.

please explain how all "synthetics" were destroyed and yet EDI survives ???

I think the game should stay as it is,we all know it's a great game but hey everything changes in life nothing is immortal right ?

They say there won't be any new endings but then how will they explain the breath scene

The DLC might shed some light on what happened to my other squadmates I suppose.

But what I'd really like to know is how come Garrus, who was with me on Earth for the final assault, manages to emerge from the crashed Normandy at the end.

So... 12 April 2014........ Are we suppose to wait for another two years just for the Extended Cut??? Make it quicker BioWare so we won't lose interest in it!!!

I guess that the old saying is that it is not the game you play but the choices you make what matter doesnt carry over to games, or anything really, since you can do all you believe is the right choice and hope for the best but in the end it might not matter at all...it is the illusion of freedom that has the little kiddies crying over Bioware´¨raping their childhood¨oops sorry wrong space saga there, I guess it is just like life guys...too bad we try to play games to forget the inevitability of it all, thnaks for the reminder Bioware!

Considering how amazing the game actually was (minus the ending of course) I am more than willing to wait and see if this extended cut redeems an otherwise virtually perfect game and a truly epic series. Everyone makes mistakes, and I think, in retrospect, after having allowed some time to pass, I am more than willing to forgive them if they get it right the second time around.

Two weeks after beating the game, my Shepard is at the bottom of the trunk getting molested by Naughty Bear. I was gonna take it to the woods and shoot it, but I'm gonna wait till summer. No replay value at all, if I wanted colorful rewards I'd save money and buy skittles. Never pre-ordering games again, lesson learned.

The ending sucks. Too many plot holes, inconsistencies, and things that are left up for your own interpretation. It's bad writing. Period. Glad they've decided to extend the ending.

the ending was amazing, it just wasnt explained properly. In Mass effect you NEVER EVER had any control over the destiny of the universe EVER. in ME1 you had to beat Saren,( you had no control over that) in Me2 it was to destroy the collectors ( you had no contol over that), in ME3 it was to get rid of the reapers (you had no controle over that) . You NEVER had any control of race you wanted to be, you were ALWAYS human and your name was ALWAYS Shephard. So what the hell made you think you had control over Mass effects destiny at any point in any of the games!?!!?!?!?!!? the presidium was ALWAYS designed by the reapers in all mass effects and it was always synthetic Venus fly trap to kill off organic life for harvesting. IF you save them, they are coming back to harvest one day, IF you destroy them they aint coming back. The problem is Bioware didnt fill in the tiny gaps little gaps in between. But the facts are, the reapers are gone (be them destroyed or saved) earth is still fine accept lots of people are dead (big ben was destroyed but the 2 people afterwards were celebrating straight after, meens the earth is not destroyed) . The virtual boy at the end was how the reapers used to make you make a decision because they couldnt physically make you choose the option they wanted, so they tricked you by telling you , you could can control them instead, like they did with Saren and the Illusive man. All in all, amazing trilogy. Me3 as made me play ME1 again.

This is a good sign. It means that Bioware cares about their rep and doesn't want to compromise it for the sake of their future games. They aren't in any way obligated to do this, but I suppose they'd be f*cked if they didn't. I actually like the ending in a way because it reminds me of the existentialism of Kafka and the idea that sometimes sh*t happens and you can't do anything about it.

awesome! now all the whiners can stop complaining about how they were defrauded and mislead. yay! life can now go back to how it was before... where people just excepted something for what it was instead of thinking they were owed something to begin with.

I don't see why we need this, I thought the original endings were fine despite the choices not mattering much. People are so pathetic nowadays nitpicking and complaining about little things that don't mean squat.

You have no idea of my age, so dont assume im a "kid", im probly older then you, and just because you use big words doesnt mean your right. And the way you wrote that response sounds like you think your above me or some strange little idea you have in your head. 2. Its an opinion! Yeah people are not going to like it, some people will agree. But seriously, other games that turned out to be such a letdown didnt start this many gamers to complain and act like children to petition a new ending to it. I laugh at the way people review games these days, i mean a great game usually gets shot down too many points for something that doesnt really affect the game, its just the persons opinion on that matter. Such relates to the cinematics in the game, "oh they are too long" "the arent long enough" " my eyes hurt when watching", that last one i made up but im sure someone complained about it, but they arent going to change it. All i really meant by my statement was that the gaming community has changed, and not in a good way. Its gone to hell.

Hi to everyone. I'm a great fan of ME and Bioware. I followed them since their first game and loved anything they did, included Dragon Age 2. I must confess that I was really upset with the end of ME3 the first time I played (I finished in a week though I have really not time to play) because I didn't understand what they did and I thought "what the heck is this?! I want a real ending!!! Not this coupling of scenes without meaning!!! I payed for it!!" Then I played another couple of times with other characters and I realized that Bioware have not to change the ending but have to explain everything better. I wasn't angry for the ending itself, IMHO a really piece of art, but I want some explanation about the Illusive man, Anderson and Joker and the team and above all the Relays...If I have to destroy a whole galaxy I want to know why...So for me it's good to add scene and explanations about all of these things. To change the ending is wrong and it would be a denial of their choices and their concept of the game. Complaining about something we don't like is right but we're speaking about games and art, something very subjective and hard to understand. Maybe a new cycle will start with new heroes and new stories...who can say? I only hope BioWare don't do an MMORPG or whatever because they can't win in that case. Everything is IMHO as ever! Bye

@spoonybard_hahs ok i admit i was a little haste to blame bioware because it may very well be EA i don't know which but whether thru EA dictatorship or bad writers the ending was bad but what really made me so angry was the way they defended it hiding be hind the it is art excuse just pushed my buttons but i guess that could be EA'S influence to i just don't know, either way it is just sad to see such a epic trilogy end so poorly.

@Grim My problem isn't that at all. I honestly don't think Bioware have thought of it to be indoctrination, but that is another story all together. But even if they had, the thing that irritates me is the false promises of the player having complete control of how to end the saga, help shape the fate of the galaxy etc. If (and it's a big if in my opinion) they all along planned for it to be just this indoctrination thing, then it's just the 1 ending so far. With DLC epilogues to come. Which of course we have to pay so and so to get. Money hungry and false - bad form and smells of EA

i saw the endings , only ONE of them showed the clues , the rest didn't show much at all. (in reference to the renegade choice) @Grim

I love how many people think the ending was bad, but they just don't understand it. Think about movies like Inception and the Sixth Sense, they didn't straight out tell you the ending was a twist, but there were enough clues there to lead you to the conclusion. The problem here is Bioware left clues, but the majority of the players ignored them.

Whatever ME3 is a story of the past for me now, but i guess i learn from this and next time check the story before i get a game (not just from bioware but from all)
