With less than two weeks remaining until this year's EB Expo event, organiser EB Games has confirmed the return of the community hub.

The community hub will feature six themed areas for attendees to check out, including cosplay, retro games, board games, tabletop games, game art, a lounge area, and an area dedicated to an interactive game show.

Cosplayers will be able to enter an open cosplay competition in the Just 'Cos area for a chance to win prizes. The Just 'Cos competition will be held during the Friday Daylight session, Saturday Daylight session and Sunday session of the expo. Registration for the competition will open at 9:00am each day for an hour. Competition times are as follows:

Friday: 10:30am – 12:30pm
Saturday: 10:30am – 12:30pm
Sunday: 12:00pm – 2:00pm

Expo attendees who enjoy retro games can find them at the Retro Gamer Garden, where a variety of classic games will be available for free play. The hosts of the Weird and Retro segment on television show New Game Plus will also be present.

For fans of board games and tabletop gaming, the Roll Play section will be open for participants to try out various board games for free.

Those who appreciate game-themed art can head to the Art Drop hub where work from various artists will be showcased and available for purchase. All proceeds from artwork sold will be donated to the Starlight Children's Foundation.

Live-action adventure game The Dark Room invites the audience into a room and "traps" them, requiring them to solve puzzles in order to escape. Winners will be granted prizes.

Finally, a Lovesac Lounge area will be available as an area for attendees to hang out.
