EA teases Battlefield 4 news for March 27

Publisher's "Prepare 4 Battle" video suggests reveal slated for later this month during Game Developers Conference.

The official Battlefield Twitter account today posted a short video teasing Battlefield 4 news for March 27 during the Game Developers Conference in San Francisco. Publisher Electronic Arts is holding a Battlefield 4 media event the day before on March 26.

The video, made with the new Vine video service and said to be "straight from the editing suite," contains the same color scheme as last week's media invitation. The video also includes the sound of what appears to be a tank starting its engine.

EA announced Battlefield 4 last July, revealing a beta for the game will launch during fall 2013. Those who purchased the underperforming Medal of Honor: Warfighter are guaranteed access to the beta.

Battlefield 4 may not be the only new franchise entry in the works. A report from May suggested series developer DICE was at work on a new entry in the spinoff series, Battlefield: Bad Company 3.

what are they gonna do next?? I mean BF3 has most of the modern war stuff, guns and planes and all that jazz, I mean.... in BF4 will it be set in like year 3000!!!

I just can't think of anything to make BF4 "stand out" when compared to BF3, bahh what do I know..... we just wait and see

I really don't want to get a PS4 or X720 but if its' only coming to those platforms, and PC just might have to!

I guess EA needs to do something to distract everybody from all their other woes.

I spent more time in BF3 than any other game because of its arcade style shooting. I really enjoyed it. But i wish BF4 to be realistic like ARMA with large maps and more players support.

Good luck DICE

@mediarays DEVs don't simply change successful arcade shooter to an ARMA style sim shooter. it's against they're profit,  franchise, as well as against battlefield consumers, who will most likely complain if it is to become a sim.

Bad Company 3 please. The multiplayer and story was way more entertaining than Battlefield 3.

@ulgk bad company 2 till now is my favourite fps. The only reason i stopped playing was because there aren't a lot of other players

@Nexrad @ulgk Bad Company 2 had more balanced weopon's. and every building could be destroyed. In BF3 only some building's could be destroyed and some just stay standing no matter what.  Dice/EA took a lot of steps back with BF3.  Im not saying BFBC2 was better but it certainly shows that Dice/EA were more interested in the new engine than the actual gameplay balanceing and such.

@ulgk @slipknotmaggot1 Honestly, no. BF2 on PC (32 vs 32) Strike at Karkand was the real BF experience. Bad Company (2) was just the most utterly perfect adaptation of the BF experience onto a console lol.

@slipknotmaggot1 Yeah, I want my BC3...the destruction was a jolly good time. I loved how you could flatten entire buildings on BC2. BF3 was a joke compared to BC2.

Oh yeah, can't forget the campaign either. :P

@emperiox @slipknotmaggot1 Maps were so much better in BC2.  I got the impression Dice really just mailed it in with BF3.  It was very disappointing.

@Whiskey3romeo @emperiox @slipknotmaggot1 they wanted to make money quick.. that's all it is. How good do you think Battlefield 4 is going to be? they just announced it, and it battlefield 3 hasn't been out that long. makes you wonder. but it is definitely due time for another BC

i hope theres normal kill cams instead of the follow me around so you know where i am cams in 4.

@grin89 that is a standard in new shooters so scrubs buy the game, quite a handicap for players that enjoy sneaking or hard scoping. i loved how you could turn the kill cam off in MGO, damn i miss that game!
