BlizzCon returns November 8-9

After a year off, two-day show coming to Anaheim Convention Center later this year; no word on ticket availability or pricing.

BlizzCon will return for its seventh show November 8-9, 2013 at the Anaheim Convention Center, Activision announced today. The all-things Warcraft, StarCraft, and Diablo event took last year off due to a "jam-packed" release schedule that included Diablo III, World of Warcraft: Mists of Pandaria, and continued development on StarCraft II: Heart of the Swarm.

BlizzCon 2013 attendees will get to go hands-on with the latest Blizzard Entertainment titles (none of which were named), and can also sit in on panel discussions with Blizzard game developers and artists.

In addition, BlizzCon 2013 will serve as the global finals for Blizzard eSports tournaments and will also feature competitive and casual competitions for attendees.

Past BlizzCons have featured closing concerts from big-time acts like Ozzy Osbourne, Foo Fighters, The Offspring, and Tenacious D. Further details about this year's show, including ticket availability and pricing, will be announced as the event draws closer.

NEWS SCOOP: This year's show will feature their new game, 'GreedCraft'. Basically, players must log into battlenet and pay by the minute to process micro-transactions which will also have a surcharge. It will cost 59.99 and require 359 hours of patching before you can even log in.

Have fun at Activision-Blizzard GreedCon!!!

You must have a constant internet connection to attend the event...according to Blizzard, its the only logical way to keep cheaters out of BlizCon.

Or if there servers are down, and everyone is booted out of BlizCon regardless, because as a Blizzard representative stated, "you can all Diablow us and suck our Baals"

@LtReviews And the conference will only have 15min. of duration. We will repeat it 1000 times, each time speaking louder and faster! (but we may get out off the stage the time it pleases us, no refunds of course!)

I am so glad I stopped giving this company money.

I'm sure ticket price will jump about 100 dollars since it's been going up like 50$ a year...

I wish they had a convention on the east coast.  Seems pretty expensive to fly all the way out there just to learn about what is going on for a single company, especially because I can stay at home and learn about it a day later

@nurnberg In their current state, i'm not sure if this would be great news considering how sloppy they are getting.

Can't wait to see the angry Diablo 3 players at the Diablo Q&A

@dominoodle Might be promising, until they remove that RMAH & improve the game overall, I will not be buying the expansion, I don't support pay 2 win.

zophyelz

@SteamyPotatoes @dominoodle yea they remove Rmah, and then what? people will go buy gear and gold from ebay...problem not solved, and gamers will not be able to make an honest buck from the game

Besides, if you remember in Diablo 2, many accounts got hacked just because players trusted shady sites where they bought gold and items

SteamyPotatoes
SteamyPotatoes

@zophyelz RMAH is the lesser evil imo & lol if they got hacked tbh, just cheating the system, makes it no different from WoW which would suck if you could buy all your items with real cash.

More BoP items would be great too, game needs a revamp, so many ways they could do a better system than the current one, sure Blizzard could think of one better than I could but the  RMAH is not the answer.

@gufberg @Deadman_est1982 well he's young he don't recognize how awesome blizzard is even today, They own 3 Different ip That got Amazing story, Lore, Unique gameplay , And Big fanbase. Yes diablo 3 was not amazing like 2nd game if you had played idk, No replay value on same class but, Story and game is fun for 2 month playtime it's quite good.

zophyelz

@akdiuuuryttt @BoSnerdly @gufberg @wexorian maybe it was doomed to fail from the getgo, because otherwise it would be good and absorb 1,2 million wow subsribers..and in the long run it would hurt blizzard, so they release a game with a few months of gameplay and then people go back to playing and paying for wow, win win for them...

BoSnerdly
BoSnerdly

@gufberg @wexorian Maybe it was just doomed to 'fail'?  How could any game live up the legend of D2, the hype going into D3, and the cynical losers of who find a reason to hate everything?

Deadman_est1982
Deadman_est1982

@wexorian @gufberg  Diablo 3 was a HUGE slap in the face to every diehard Diablo fan.  Crappy story, crappy game mechanics, hardly no replay value, and the biggest complaint of them all, crappy itemization.  Also added no PVP until almost a year after release and even that is a watered down piss fest.

gufberg
gufberg

@wexorian Agreed. The reason it failed wasn't because it isn't a good game. It just isn't anywhere near capable of delivering as a sequel to the (amazing) Diablo 2.

@Deadman_est1982 Really? You'd just say that over one game even though they nailed every other game they created? or maybe you're not old enough to know those games. Blizzard is a legend and and they deserve respect.

@max-hit

after the childish sc2 plot and questionable single player rules and mechanics i feel vulnerable to dissapointment. sc2.2 is coming out so watch out for that!

*edit* wow has karate pandas now.

and an 8.1, which is high for a user score on metacritic, yes.

assuming questionable single player rules is a matter of taste and satisfies your person, you just HAVE to admit that the plot is saturday morning cartoons.

i don't want to get into more detail and bore you though.

@Mega_Loser You're talking about a game with a metascore of 93 out of 100.  just sayin.

@max-hit @Deadman_est1982 Obviously you NEVER played WoW vanilla at launch up to the following summer and even the Nax release. The certainly did not "nail" it there. They don't deserve anything. It's their job to make entertaining products for us. Just because a maid keeps the house clean does not mean we can't point out where they messed up. If they showed dude diligence then maybe they would not have so much vitriol aimed at them. Just because someone makes a great game does not mean all their other games are great or are going to be great. To fawn at a company for past glory is definition of being a fan boy. Learn some objectivity.

As far as age goes, I remember buying Diablo for the PS1 which was published by EA. I have played all the Warcraft games. I remember having to punch in the landline of a friend to play against them in WC2.

With that said I will try Titan. I am sure it will be entertaining to some extent.

@Addice @max-hit @Deadman_est1982  All I know is it's easier for hipi-gamers to be unsatisfied and dislike everything popular. And about the WoW lunch I don't even know what u're talking about.
