This version of the 2D fighting game will feature 26 characters. This includes the arcade version characters (Amane Nishiki, Bullet, Azrael, and Izayoi), as well as the console-exclusive characters Kagura Mutsuki and Yuki Terumi.

The PS3 version will also have a story mode divided into three scenarios: Chrono Phantasma, The Six Heroes, and The Seven Agencies. Playing through all three of the segments will unlock the game's true ending scenario. So far, Aksys has yet to mention if the game will be out for the Xbox 360.

The PS3 version of the game was first announced in Japan and was slated for an October 24 release date in that region.
