Bethesda: Skyrim DLC for PS3 'close'
Elder Scrolls V publisher thanks fans for patience, says missing DLC for PS3 and PC is coming soon.
The wait for Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim add-on content for the PlayStation 3 appears to be coming to a close. A tweet from Bethesda last night said the company is "close" to bringing the missing downloadable content to the PS3, as well as the PC.
"To update: we're also close on new Skyrim content for PS3 and PC," the tweet reads.
Bethesda also thanked fans for their patience, adding that it thinks players will find the wait to be worth it.
"Thanks to all our fans," a second tweet says. "We think you'll love the new stuff. We know it takes us time and thanks for all your support and patience."
Bethesda has released two expansions for Skyrim to date: Dawnguard and Hearthfire. Both packs are currently available for the Xbox 360 and PC, and in August, a Bethesda representative said potentially unsolvable issues may keep the Dawnguard expansion from ever being released for the PS3.
On Monday, Bethesda confirmed the rumors of a third expansion, announcing the $20 Dragonborn add-on to arrive on December 4 for the Xbox 360. No mention was made of a release for other platforms.
