Battlefield 3 unlock everything DLC costs $40

@Snaptrap there work is not for nothing if they don't want to spend 40 extra dollars on a game that cost 60, plus they where playing the game to play, not just to unlock stuff what is the point in that you don't play skyrim or any other RPG just to level up you play to play and enjoy it, "ahh man what a waste of time playing skyrim on the xbox bro I could just buy a sick PC and use cheats to get all my levels too a hundred then I don't even have to play the game" that makes sense to you? It doesn't void there work like buying a trophy and not winning/working for it makes it feel empty, the people that worked for it truly shouldn't care because they know they earned it and are better than the people who have bought or will buy the unlocks

@Flat_Line_____ @Scottisme Because it voids all the work other players have done to unlock these things. Kind of like buying a trophy instead of actually winning it.

@Snaptrap I have to hand it to you thats the most retarded thing (in context) I have ever read on this website it's there to keep you entertained while you play add an rpg layer if you will, I'm not saying battlefield games need this but it's makes it that much more fun to unlock gear, sounds like you have a booster mentality only playing too unlock sh*t go play COD or WoW

I don't really think this is that big of a deal all the kits unlocks aren't really more usefull than the starter guns m16 is regarded as one of the best assualt rifles, the only thing that annoys me is that they added vehicle unlocks in to it that was stupid, anyone who buys this is only cheating themselves of the fun of just playing the game, boosters will be boosters

Damn... I hope this won't ruin the game. This is one of the worst things I've heard a game company do. It's downright despicable how they are not even subtle anymore.

Definitely the worst game publisher, although I'm disappointed in some of their developers too. But come on people, play the damn game. I'll never understand prestige cheaters in CoD, or modders for that matter. Getting used to the weapons and earning the unlocks and tags is rewarding and will keep you playing longer I think.

I think it's a pretty lame option too, but I wouldn't let other peoples laziness effect my enjoyment of a game if it doesn't REALLY effect me in any way. Besides, in a way, it's not much different then say, letting one of your friends play on your account and they unlock most of the stuff for you. The other people you are playing would have no idea if someone HAD done that for you or not. So unless it just makes the people that unlocked all the gear by themselves not feel as 'special', I don't know what it really takes away from anyone...

Well they released this so late. So many people already unlocked a majority of the gear and you can easily fully unlocked all classes and the co-op gear in about 2 weeks.

BF1942, BFVietnam, BF2... they can shove the rest of 'em. They'd have to do something drastically positive to get me to buy another BF. It doesn't look like they're going in the right direction.

Well, at least you can still earn them for free. Most DLC is purchase-only.

It's nice when you try so hard to unlock everything on your own and you have grown accustomed to that weapon or vehicle through trials and error...and then Dice does this.

This is classic EA. It really doesn't effect the game that much, but it is still pretty sad they did this. They obviously dont care about any integrity as long as the profits come in.

i might be in the minority here but isnt part of the fun of the game the ranking up and exploring each class and upgade as u go?

@ ShadowofSonic If you want all that content you can play with your clan and unlock those things for free and zero time, these shortcuts are optional and it doesn't convert you in the god of BF3, these kind of things are for the people with less time and complicated schedules, i don't support this to an extent but it doesn't affect me either, thanks for spreading misinformation on things you know nothing about. @DitchyJ nice opinion, people don't realize this.

I have all those perks unlocked and i don't give a s...t if people buy those shortcuts or not, this thing doesn't unbalance the game now because is nothing different from playing randoms and the game is 6 months old, instead of some technical advice, why you don't prove this or are you one of those people who complained about the FAMAS, Frag rounds, and vehicles?i didn't care if people with rank 50 killed me with the usas+frag combo. M320 banned? people can ban whatever they want, i see servers with no shotguns allowed, pistols only, and even the SKS this doesn't prove anything, differnt tastes you know? Look I am not the biggest FPS fan. I don't put hours upon hours into playing the Multiplayer in any of them. But this will suck for anyone who did. If a player wants all of the goodies then he should have to work for it. If that starts to be not the case then the game becomes less fun for those who can not afford to pay out for the bonuses. You think going on and dieing in 5 seconds is bad now just wait until everyone but you has the best gun from the start.

This has to be the lamest thing I've ever read about the Battlefield series. It cheapens the game for anyone who has invested time in multiplayer. You spend hours to get an unlock now Richie Rich comes along with his ultimate shortcut... What was the point of the progression system then, to milk another $40 six months later? It thought it was meant to provide a sense of achievement but that is no more. I will remember this when EA DICE attempts to sell me another game.

I suppose its good for those who really cant play the game, or do not have time to grind like jobless heros or Clan tastic elitists. It took me a while to unlock everything, and things like the jets and choppers are hard to get on as there are people who just spawn camp the hell out of them to get in them as they think its their divine right to pilot. I think its all about adepting and over coming. I personally do not mind about this if people have cash they want to blow...does not effect me. Im confident enough to know I will get round rockets spams and naders (smoke grenades are you biggest friends). A good squad can win a game, and I know a lot of people will just sniper spam and not take objectives........more points for me then :)

@alenth First, shut your f***ing mouth. You should show some respect when talking to people. Second, If you are a Battlefield player, you'd know how hard it is to unlock Jet and Tank abilities. Now, someone who got these abilities is obviously going to use them right. Someone who didn't, however, is going to spam these abilities along with every concievable type of monster-weapon and abuse it. And BF3 has many unbalanced weapons, many servers don't allow the M320, for example. Last thing I want is everyone in a server to use a smokescreen or get killed by someone in lvl 10 by a gun I had to go through 30 levels to unlock. That's bulls***. So screw you. Some people here still respect the days where you had to WORK to unlock s***. Not buy your way through it.

This time next year, I bet EA will start auctioning leader board places on a weekly basis. They have no shame!

@ ShadowofSonic Since when you have to pay 100$ for this game? enlighten me please. @supertom221 please explain how is this making the gameplay worse for the others with some technical advice, i will say it again, this kind of DLC doesn't matter at all, everyone has the attachments for their fav weapons and it takes no time to do it, it has 0 impact on the core gameplay, you will always find differences between players on randoms, even low rank players get MVP 1 in a lot of matches, do you play BF3? oh wait..... And no, i'm not going to pay for this, i don't need it but it doesn't affect me, go and ask every BF3 player with 100 hours played (minimum) if this affects how you play. You people just like to Bi..h about everything seriously, why are you people crying if you don't play the game? ridiculous.

This is like paying to see a movie, then paying extra to skip right to the end. What's the point? If you don't want to have the enjoyment of playing the game - then why buy it in the first place? The real danger here is that if people buy into this - you can expect to see more content cut from future titles that will then turn up as DLC, and unlockables becoming almost impossible to unlock so that you just pay for it instead. It wouldn't surprise me if they started charging to unlock classes next. Never thought I'd see the day when games turned into money pits. Pretty sad, really. :/

I don't really care about the whole $40 unlock everything because the best will always be the best and the unlocks don't make the player. I hate the rent your own server stupidity because I though we were paying for the severs with the online pass. Now they expect us to pay money to rent a sever in order to get the best sever experience. BS and it is all EA's doing..

@supertom221 / I agree with you 100%. Noobs shouldn't be allowed to buy their way through the system. They need to work for it like everyone else did. Very stupid idea that will make gameplay worse for the people who actually try in the game. If I had a piece of raw meat, tomato peal, a glacial rock, a pair of pliers, a bag of marbles, and two pieces of moldy @ss bread, I would create the worst sandwich for the people that had the idea of doing this and the people that buy this idea.

I miss the days when people, well, played the games. Now for those with more money than sense, you can just pay your way to achievement/unlock glory... But then where´s the fun in that??
