Aliens: Colonial Marines canceled

Electronic Arts confirms that its movie-inspired first-person shooter is no longer in development.

Further to our reporting that Aliens: Colonial Marines was "on hold" back in June, Electronic Arts has today confirmed that the game has indeed been canceled and that there are no plans to pick up its development in the future. Our source at Electronic Arts could not comment on why the game had been canceled but said that although they had only heard about it recently, they believed the decision was taken a couple of months ago. For more information on the deceased, check out our previous coverage .

@Greyfox-101 you might want to reconsider that. It's 6 long years later, and Aliens Colonial Marinesnlooks like complete shit. Gearbox hasn't really made anything great other than Borderlands the last several years.
