Sony Computer Entertainment today announced the release date for its upcoming next-gen console, the PlayStation 4.

The console will release in Australia and New Zealand on November 29 this year. The announcement was made during Gamescom in Cologne, Germany.

In addition to the release date, Sony also revealed a list of launch window games that will be available by the end of the year. Games listed include Killzone: Shadow Fall, Driveclub, and Knack.

Sony also revealed the integration of streaming service Twitch.tv with the PS4, allowing gamers to live stream gameplay and spectate other streams on the service. Users can press the DualShock 4's "Share" button to broadcast their gameplay directly through their Twitch.tv channels.

Australians can also expect a price cut on the PlayStation Vita, PlayStation Vita memory card, and PlayStation 3 12GB model. From September 2, the PS Vita Wi-Fi and 3G models will carry a recommended retail price of $269.95. The PS3 12GB model will carry a new recommended retail price of $269.95.

The PlayStation 4 will be launched in North America on November 15, and will be available in 32 countries by the end of the year.
