PlayStation 4 hardware teased by Sony hours before next Xbox unveil
Sony publishes 39-second video showing obscured shots of the PlayStation 4 hardware; full unveil at E3 2013.
Sony has teased shots of the PlayStation 4 hardware hours before Microsoft is due to announce its next-generation Xbox.
The 39-second video shows a blurred black box, which is presumably the PlayStation 4 hardware, along with numerous quick, close-up shots of various parts of the hardware. "See it First at E3," says the video.
Shots in the trailer show close-ups of corners, vents, and a circular edge. The Dual Shock 4 controller can also be seen.
The teaser ends with the time and date of Sony's E3 2013 press conference: June 10 at 18:00 PDT.
Sony announced the PlayStation 4 in February, though the hardware was not shown and Sony said its design was not yet finalised. The next-generation console is due to be released globally later in 2013.
