Super Street Fighter IV: 3D ships 1 million units
Capcom's portable fighting game for Nintendo’s 3DS hits global milestone; franchise shipment tally now sits at 31 million.
Capcom's Super Street Fighter IV: 3D Edition--part of Nintendo 3DS's worldwide launch lineup--won rapt reviews. Now, its publisher has announced that the portable fighting game has reached a new commercial milestone.
The Osaka-based game company today sent word that Super Street Fighter IV: 3D Edition has shipped--not sold--1 million units globally. The game launched in Japan with the 3DS on February 26, in the UK on March 25, and in North America on March 27.
In addition to announcing the new commercial milestone for the latest Street Fighter game, Capcom noted that the entire Street Fighter franchise--which debuted in 1987--has shipped 31 million units globally.
