Pokemon Black & White US, EU sales top 3 million
Nintendo's latest tag-team RPG for DS adds platinum European sales to previously announced two-week tally.
Two weeks out from Pokemon Black and White's release in the US, and the game was already well on its way to being another money-minter for Nintendo. Following on from sales of 5 million in Japan, the two logged a combined sales tally of 2 million units in the US.
Today, Nintendo said that Pokemon Black and White's US and European sales performance stood at 3 million units through week two of release. Pokemon Black and White went on sale in Europe on March 4, and the North American rollout followed two days later.
Featuring marginal differences between each other, Pokemon Black and White include more than 150 new creatures to capture, train, and battle. Nintendo also introduced an all-new region, Unova, for players to explore with the benefit of changing in-game seasons. Also new to the series is Triple Battles and Rotation Battles, which are aimed at diversifying the in-game fighting experience.
