God of War Collection rages on PSN
Compilation of Kratos' first two outings goes downloadable for PS3 alongside November 2 launch of Ghost of Sparta.
On November 2, Sony will release God of War: Ghost of Sparta for the PSP, a new saga in the series set between the events of the first two God of War titles. Gamers interested in refreshing their memories on those two titles will soon have a new way to do that on November 2, as Sony today announced that will also mark the downloadable debut of the God of War Collection for the PlayStation 3.
Released in stores last November, God of War Collection compiles the original PlayStation 2 hits God of War and God of War II, porting them to the PS3 and giving both a 720p HD makeover in the process. The package also added PS3 trophies to the game and included some bonus content videos. While the downloadable version of the God of War Collection will still support trophies, the bonus content and extras from the Blu-ray release of the game will be absent.
Launched at retail for $40, the God of War Collection has since seen its price cut to $30. Sony did not specify how much the game would sell for when it arrives on the PlayStation Network storefront.
