Sony and Media Molecule scored substantial success with the PlayStation 3-exclusive Little Big Planet, which relied heavily on user-generated content and distinctive charm. Taking a page out of that playbook, EA today announced Create, a family-friendly puzzle platformer that relies heavily on the creativity of its users. Developed by EA Bright Light, the game will arrive for the Xbox 360, PlayStation 3, PC, Mac, and Wii this November.

The first trailer for the game shows players creating levels with the Wii Remote. These scenes appear to present a variety of physics and platforming challenges. Two challenges visible in the trailer were "get the barrels to the goal" and "keep the buggy safe" through a physics-based obstacle course. EA also hopes to encourage communal play with Create, offering additional rewards based on the number of players who participate in the game.

The trailer also offers glimpses at various challenges that gamers will undertake. In one, a bike rides a skateboard through what appears to be an obstacle course. Another shows a makeshift vehicle trundling down a slope, pushing a bunch of balls into a goal area.

Create will let gamers share the levels they have made online on each of the platforms, save the Wii. EA also confirmed that the PS3 version will support Sony's new motion-sensing controller, Move, though Microsoft's Kinect peripheral was not mentioned.
