Aussie game charts: October 12-18

Uncharted 2 finds fortune at the top of the charts down under.

Naughty Dog's critically acclaimed Uncharted 2: Among Thieves has unsurprisingly debuted at number one in the overall Australian game charts, according to data trackers GfK Australia. Uncharted 2 tells the story of treasure hunter Nathan Drake as he searches Asia for the mystical Buddhist kingdom Shambhala and the Cintamani Stone. The game was also bundled with the 250GB PlayStation 3 consoles, but those figures are excluded from the software charts.

The Wii Fit Plus bundle, which is just a Wii Balance Board and updated edition of last year's Wii Fit, had a strong first week, making it into the second spot, for the week of October 12-18. Mario & Sonic at the Olympic Winter Games on the Wii came out at number three, with its Nintendo DS cousin falling short, in the eighth spot. Previous chart topper Halo 3: ODST fell down into fourth place, while Wii Sports Resort seems to be making a comeback moving into the fifth spot. After just a few days of sales, Operation Flashpoint 2: Dragon Rising deployed to number nine, just one above Brutal Legend in 10th place.
