SOCOM: Fireteam Bravo 3 ships out Nov. 24
Third PSP US Navy Seals game will infiltrate stores two days before Thanksgiving.
As the holiday season draws nearer, more and more games are locking down their release dates. The latest is SOCOM: U.S. Navy SEALs Fireteam Bravo 3, the third outing of Sony's third-person shooter series on the PSP. Though still not rated, the game will ship on November 24 in North America, two days before the Thanksgiving holiday and three days before "Black Friday," the busiest retail day of the year.
Developed by Slant Six, the studio behind last year's tepidly received SOCOM: U.S. Navy SEALs Confrontation, Fireteam Bravo 3 will differ from its forbearers on several fronts. Plotwise, players will be charged with infiltrating the underground of former special-ops-soldiers turned mercenaries. Specifically, players will be tasked with locating an ex-KGB agent with knowledge of an upcoming terrorist WMD attack.
As outlined in GameSpot's GamesCom preview, SOCOM: Fireteam Bravo 3 will feature an expansive multiplayer component, with the entire campaign being playable in co-op in either ad hoc or infrastructure mode. The game will also feature reworked graphics and controls, as well as other in-game improvements, such as health regeneration and a new cover system.
