Aussie game charts: August 17-23

All three versions of the supernatural Nazi-killing FPS Wolfenstein make it into the top 10.

Only a Wolfenstein game could have a story involving Nazis, zombies, and supernatural powers, and it looks like that formula has proven successful again as Wolfenstein has made it into the Aussie top 10 during its debut week. The Xbox 360 version of Wolfenstein performed the best scoring fifth spot, while the PlayStation 3 version is only one behind it in sixth place. The PC version also did OK, taking out the ninth spot, according to data trackers GfK Australia.

As has become the norm these days, the Nintendo trio, consisting of Wii Sports Resort, Wii Fit, and Wii Play has taken out the first, second, and third places for the week of August 17-23. With the final Ashes Test in full swing, Ashes Cricket 2009 fell down to seventh and eighth place on the PS3 and Xbox 360, respectively. Finally, we have the Sims 3, which finished the week off at number 10.
