Aussie game charts: August 10-16

Ashes Cricket 2009 continues to sell well, despite Wii Sports Resort not budging an inch from its throne at the top.

With the fifth and final Ashes Test cricket underway in England, Codemasters’ Ashes Cricket 2009 on the PlayStation 3 climbed into the third spot during its second week of sales, according to data trackers GfK Australia. The Xbox 360 version currently sits in the fifth place.

As we've come to expect, Nintendo continued to dominate the top two positions, thanks to Wii Sports Resort and Wii Fit. Cricket wasn't the only sports-themed game to sell well during the week of August 10-16, with the very un-Australian sport of Gridiron slamming down into the ninth and 10th places on the PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360.
