Red Alert 3 expands on XBL, PSN this fall
Following PC release, EALA bringing 50-mission Commanders Challenge mode to Microsoft's, Sony's online platforms for $10.
Command & Conquer 4 may have already been announced for next year, but EA's Los Angeles studio isn't yet done with its most recent installment in the Command & Conquer franchise, Red Alert 3. The publisher announced today that the spin-off real-time strategy game will see the stand-alone downloadable expansion Command & Conquer Red Alert 3 Commander's Challenge for the Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 this fall.
Released on the PC in March as part of the Red Alert 3 Uprising expansion, Commander's Challenge includes 50 new missions set within the same over-the-top universe that has come to define the Red Alert franchise. Players will face off against nine different commanders, and EA notes that each challenge will feature its own distinct win conditions as well as benchmark completion times set by the development team.
Commander's Challenge also adds a number of new units and technologies to the standard Red Alert 3 gameplay, as well as new live-action cinematics and a game mode. Commander's Challenge will be available for $10 (MSP 800).
