RE5 dated on PC, RE4 lurches to iPhone
Latest Capcom zombie action game hits computers in mid-September as earlier entry gets ported to popular Apple handheld.
If there's one thing a zombie infection loves, it's spreading. So it's not especially surprising that Capcom has word today of two installments in its Resident Evil zombie action series spreading to new platforms.
First up, the publisher announced that the PC port of this February's Xbox 360 and PS3 hit Resident Evil 5 will arrive in North American stores September 15. Europeans will have to wait until September 18 to get their hands on the game, which adds new costumes, a revamped "Mercenaries" mode with more enemies, and support for Nvidia's GeForce stereoscopic 3D Vision glasses.
For the zombie-loathing gamer on the go, Capcom is also working on an iPhone version of GameSpot's 2005 Game of the Year, Resident Evil 4. As posted on the company's official Twitter account, Resident Evil 4 will be available for iPhones in Japan at the end of the month, with worldwide releases to follow.
