Forza 3 revs up Limited Edition bundle
$80 premium package will net 360 owners the latest Turn 10 racer along with a 2GB USB drive, exclusive cars, community perks.
The existence of Forza Motorsport 3 for the Xbox 360 was leaked time and again before Microsoft finally announced it officially during its E3 2009 media briefing. Thankfully, the company was much more up front about the premium version for the game, as Microsoft has confirmed for GameSpot the details of a Forza Motorsport 3 Limited Edition bundle to launch alongside the standard edition of the game this October.
Carrying a retail price of $79.99, the Limited Edition will include a Forza-branded 2GB USB drive and keychain, a selection of exclusive in-game cars, a dashboard theme, and a "VIP Membership" for some of the game's community features. A Microsoft representative said details would be made available at a later date, but the membership will entitle gamers to "special treatment" at the game's auction house, community storefront, and on the game's official forums.
When it launches, Forza Motorsport 3 will include approximately 400 vehicles from Lamborghini, Ferrari, Ford, Mercedes, Aston Martin, Porsche, Corvette, and more. The game will also include new features like a rewind function, cockpit views for each of the cars, rollover crashes, and creator scoreboards for the game's user-generated content features.
