LOS ANGELES--With Activision's rhythm cash cow set to hit shelves on September 1, and only six artists so far confirmed for the game, many have been wondering which bands will make it into the new game, given that 80 tracks have been promised.

Today, Activision has revealed the full artist list for the game, which contains a mix of familiar faces and bands new to the series. As in previous entries in the series, the game will feature a variety of genres including classic rock, indie, and metal. Players will now be able to use any instrument combination to rock through the songs, with even something as crazy as a five-drummer band being possible.

Though many of the artists have been featured in previous games, there are some newcomers to the roster, including highlights such as Iggy Pop, The White Stripes, and Public Enemy.

Check out the full artist roster below and our first look for more on the game.
